Six New Features Of HDMI Cable

1. With high-speed Ethernet channel

HDMI version 1.4 data line will add a data channel to support high-speed two-way communication. The interconnection equipment supporting this function can send and receive data through 100M Ethernet, which can meet any IP based application. The HDMI Ethernet channel will allow Internet-based HDMI devices to share Internet access with other HDMI devices.

2. With audio return channel

This channel can reduce the number of cables required for audio upward transmission, processing and playback. When the HD TV directly receives audio and video content, this new channel allows the HD TV to directly transmit audio to the AV power amplifier receiver through the HDMI cable without another cable.

3. High definition multimedia interface

HDMI is a digital video / audio interface technology that meets the standards of the HD era. It can be used for digital devices with HDMI interface, such as set-top boxes, DVD players, personal computers, televisions, video cameras, mobile phones, etc.

4. Expand support color space

Although RGB is still the common color space in most video applications, other color models, especially in the field of digital photography, are becoming more and more popular. HDMI specification version 1.4 adds support for three color spaces (color gamut), allowing manufacturers to present better and more correct colors for users who enjoy digital photos on HD TVs.

5. Support 3D display screen

The new specification will define a general 3D format and resolution for HDMI devices, standardize the input and output parts of the home 3D system, and support up to two 1080p resolution video streams.

6. Support 4K × 2K resolution

HDMI devices will support 4K HD resolution × 2K, four times the current 1080p, can transmit content at the same resolution as many digital home theaters. Specific format: 3840 × 2160 24Hz/25Hz/30Hz; four thousand and ninety-six × 2160 4K × 2K display makes the high-end home theater system equal to the digital projectors used in many cinemas.
